Capt Marty and I have been through thick and thin on his boat. Based out of Crystal Beach on the bay side for an easy meetup at Stingaree makes for a relaxing day on the water. Also offers Guided Beach Fishing.

DJ's Bait is my goto for bait in crystal beach. Live shrimp is easily accessible on the bolivar peninsula! As well as providing a strew of baits they also have a finger to the pole on local guides. Servicing as the bait shop for most local guides within Bolivar Peninsula. I Would recommend combining Catfish Mark's Crack Shrimp Spray with DJ's Bait. They jump right out of the bubbler!

A frequent face around DJ's Bait shop is  Captain Tyrone Jackson. Owner of Top Cat Fishing Charter I frequently find myself on the bow of his boat video taping redfish!

Since 2019 I have been going to Hackberry, LA to visit  Capt. Matt Griffith and Capt. Brice Nickel of Trout Mouth Charters. They focus on Slot Red Fish, Flounder, and Specks within the Calcasieu Lake and have yet to not provide a limit-out day trip. Even after hurricane Laura tried to lay waste to this honey hole its still going strong as ever!
